(He feels ashamed for its kind- that shouldn't have happened)
After the black and burning rain
He bloomed
He has a thick, old silhouette
(Feet and buttons, handset heavyset, sitting in his cradle like a thick, plastic horn)
A rotary grandpa, once wired
And part of a cableweb of understanding, information lace
Like a gauzy, pretty curtain across the window to the world
Everyone wanted to hear what he had to say
He knew he was important
Until his master cut him off
New-fangled, fans of progression said it's over now
